Tips on Safeguarding Your Outdoor Space

Secure Outdoor Furniture

Loose items such as potted plants, bird feeders, decorative furnishings, chairs, and tables can do a lot of damage to your home during high winds. To minimize damage, either remove items from outdoor space OR secure with rope, bungee cords, or steel cables.

Power Down

Outdoor kitchens, gas grills, pools, lights, heaters, fire pits, and any other items that use power must be disconnected. Shut off your propane tank by turning the gas supply valve in a clockwise direction. Once you are able to safely come back to your home, call your local Blossman Gas store to get your gas re-established.

Trim Trees & Clean Gutters

Remove any loose branches along with trees that could cause significant damage. Avoid additional water damage to your property by cleaning debris from your gutters and making sure they are secure.
