Low Carb Taco Bake

You’ll never notice the missing carbs in this bubbly, cheesy dish. A low carb taco bake is a satisfying option when you’re exercising restraint.

Low Carb Taco Bake RecipeCrust Ingredients

4 ounces cream cheese, softened

2 eggs

1 teaspoon taco seasoning

8 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded

Topping Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

3 teaspoons taco seasoning

1/4 cup tomato sauce

4 ounce green chilies, chopped

8 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded

Crust Directions

Put all of the crust ingredients in a large bowl and mix with a wooden spoon until smooth.

Grease a 9” x 13” baking dish, and spread the cheese mixture evenly over the bottom.

Bake at 375º for 35 minutes or until browned (not too dark).

Let stand 5-10 minutes before adding the topping.

Topping Directions

Brown the ground beef, and drain the fat.

Stir in the seasoning, tomato sauce, and chilies.

Spread topping over the crust, and cover with cheese.

Reduce the oven to 350º, and bake another 20 minutes until hot and bubbly.

Serve taco bake.
