Homemade Aromatherapy

We know how much families enjoy doing unique crafting projects with each other. It’s a great approach to getting kids involved in activities and bringing out creativity for everybody involved. Whenever a cold strikes, sometimes a hot shower can be the best medicine. Aromatherapy can make that hot shower even better when you need it the most.

These homemade shower soothers can be fun to make with the entire family, while providing relief for someone in need.

1 cup baking soda

⅓ cup + 2 tablespoons water

Muffin liners (not paper) or muffin pan

Your favorite essential oils

Directions

Stir together the baking soda & water into a thick paste. Fill each muffin cup halfway.  Add a few generous drops of each of your essential oils. Then fill each muffin cup up with the rest of the ‘cold batter’.

Bake for 20 minutes at 350. Let cool completely before removing them from the pan/liners.  Once cooled, add a few more generous drops of each essential oil to both the top and the bottom of the soothers. Store them in an airtight container or a Ziploc bag.  When ready to use, put the disc in the bottom of the shower in front of your toes.
