Goblin Pancakes Halloween Recipe
Pancakes are a staple in our home. They are super easy, quick to make, and easily customizable. For these reasons, holiday themed pancakes are our go-to! These Goblin Pancakes are forgiving too – for all those with children that won’t eat anything other than a perfectly shaped pancake.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 3 ½ tsp. baking powder
- ¼ tsp. salt, or more to taste
- 1 tbsp. white sugar
- 1 ¼ cups milk
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsp. butter, melted
- 1-2 bananas
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- 2-4 strawberries
Directions
- In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth.
- Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium-high heat. Pour or scoop roughly 2 oz of batter onto the pan. Add 2 drops of batter on each side to make arms and legs. Brown on both sides. Repeat until all cupcakes are cooked.
- Plate your monster pancake. Cut banana slices for eyes – top each eye with a blueberry. Thinly slice strawberries to make mouth. Add banana triangles for teeth. Serve with side of warm syrup.
