Blossman Gas participated in the 9th Annual Big Toy Day and Fly-In on Saturday, August 24th at the Davidson County Airport in Lexington, NC. It was hosted by Lexington and Davidson County, Fly High Lexington, and Communities in Schools.
Communities in Schools is a nonprofit program that uses a mentoring initiative for students with academic achievement challenges, repeated behavior referrals or other at-risk issues. It also provides free food for students through the backpack program.
At the Big Toy Day, kids were able to see airplanes, cars, boats, and a Blossman Service Truck and Bobtail. Cliff Garrick, Branch Manager in Lexington, NC, says “Even though it was a rainy day that ended the event early, we enjoyed passing out coloring books, pens, and pencils to the kids who came through.”
